About the programme

The mission shows how robotics, automation, smart logistics, modern manufacturing and embodied intelligence come together in China. In one trip participants see several industries and look not only at the technology itself, but at how it is deployed, scaled and turned into revenue.

  1. Collaborative and industrial robotics

    JAKA Robotics / FANUC

  2. Automated food production

    Bright Dairy

  3. Smart logistics

    JD Logistics Asia No.1

  4. Modern car manufacturing

    Geely Automobile

  5. Embodied intelligence

    Unitree Robotics

The programme is designed for business owners and senior executives who want not just to see China, but to understand which solutions they can apply in their own company.

Key companies and sites

The core question of the trip: how automation changes not a single operation but the economics of the whole process — from production to the warehouse and the last mile.

Shanghai

JAKA Robotics

One of the leaders in Chinese collaborative robotics. A working robot assembly and test line, from key components to final calibration, with a focus on drag teaching, graphical programming, and integrated machine vision and force control. Demo stations show cobots in welding, palletising and precision assembly.

Shanghai

Bright Dairy

One of the largest dairy production complexes in the region. An automated cycle from raw-material intake to packing and dispatch, aseptic lines, process management, quality control and end-to-end product traceability.

Shanghai

JD Logistics Asia No.1

One of JD’s flagship smart-logistics sites. An automated high-bay warehouse, AGV robots, high-speed sorting and WMS work as a single system — a large-scale example of warehouse automation.

Hangzhou

Geely Automobile

A highly automated full-cycle car plant: stamping, robotic welding, painting, flexible mixed-model assembly, digital quality management and component production for new energy vehicles.

Hangzhou

Unitree Robotics

One of the leaders of China’s new-generation robotics. Quadruped and humanoid robots, in-house key components, motion-control algorithms and real applications in industry, research and services.

Alternative sites

  • FANUC Robotics — FANUC’s largest production base outside Japan: the full cycle of industrial robotics and adapting equipment to demanding operating conditions.
  • Milkground — instead of Bright Dairy.
  • Changan Ford — instead of Geely Automobile.
  • DEEP Robotics — instead of Unitree Robotics.

What makes this programme different

  1. A business programme, not a tour.

Every visit is built around a specific theme: the technology, the production process, the economics of deployment and possible applications.

  2. Different industries, one logic.

Robotics, food production, logistics, automotive and embodied intelligence show how China systematically builds automation into different business models.

  3. Direct business context.

Conversations with company representatives, practical questions and, where needed, one-to-one negotiations prepared in advance.

  4. Tailored to the participants.

Companies, meetings and emphasis can be adjusted to the group’s profile and the participants’ real objectives.

  5. The work continues after the trip.

We organise the contacts, record the agreements and, if needed, support further negotiations and projects in China.

What participants get

During the trip

  • Real production cases: robotics, logistics, food production, automotive and embodied intelligence.
  • Business contacts: representatives of Chinese companies and participants of the matchmaking session.
  • Practical interpretation: a short daily debrief with Ivan Melnikov and the ABH team on what really matters and which ideas you can apply in your own business.
  • One-to-one B2B meetings based on participants’ requests agreed in advance.

After the trip

  • A structured contact list with company profiles and areas of interest.
  • Minutes of key meetings in Russian, with next steps recorded.
  • A 30/60/90-day roadmap for further negotiations and projects.
  • If needed, ABH support with negotiations, contracts, follow-up meetings and project delivery in China.

Our aim is for the useful contacts from the trip to turn into concrete next steps, not just business cards.

Why with ABH

Ivan Melnikov, founder of Asia Business Hub
  • Ivan Melnikov — mission leader

Founder of ABH, 20+ years of living and doing business in China, native-level Chinese. Led the construction of a 50,000 m² technopark near Shanghai with $30M+ of investment and has run more than 50 business missions for Russian companies and government bodies. On the trip he explains what you see and turns it into practical conclusions for business.

    Ivan’s story

  • A team on the ground in China

We work from Shanghai and run projects on site: from finding companies and negotiating to organising visits and follow-up after meetings.

  • A programme built around practical value

We pick the companies that are really worth seeing, prepare the questions and plan in advance which contacts to follow up after you return.

  • Industrial experience

We run trade, manufacturing, investment and consulting projects, so we look at plants in terms of business value, not as tourist sights. More than 50 business missions and delegations behind us.
